Oakes Cemetery

I was driving back to my hotel from a training class one evening and decided to go on a cemetery hunt. I pulled out my GPS and searched for all the cemeteries in my vicinity. Oakes won the coin toss as it showed it was only three miles away. Little did I know that one mile of it was on a gravel road, but that's another story.

I don't know any history of the cemetery. It is located in a somewhat rural area of Benton County, Arkansas. It has graves dating from the mid 1800s to current. It is well maintained. There is a lot of home development going on in the area, as Bentonville is one of the fastest growing areas in the country. I hope this cemetery doesn't get swallowed up with urban sprawl.
