I'll repost here...

Experience it all: September 15-16 & September 22-23, 2006
Native Americans called it the wilderness - this untamed, unsettled, unknown land that is today Clay County, WV. In 1838, Cherokee natives were being forced west on the Trail of Tears; but Solomon Osborne who was part Cherokee chose freedom by traveling north to unknown territory.

After crossing three states, he settled with his family in the secluded mountains of present day Clay County, WV. Always fearful of being seized, the family remained fugitives and paid a tremendous price for their freedom.

Witness an authentic portrayal of a Cherokee wedding, a scene from the Trail of Tears, fight scenes, dancing, original music, live horses and a cast of all ages. Come join us for the 16th season of Solomon's Secret in conjunction with the Clay County Golden Delicious Apple Festival.

I don't have a lot of the history prior to Solomon yet... and there's even some disagreements once you get back a couple of generations.

According to the data I've collected in various places, Solomon's parents were Elias Osborne and Sally Ann Sizemore.  Solomon's brothers and sisters were possibly Ephriam, Jefferson, Loring, James, Henry, Jesse, and Mancefield.

Going back another generation I've not been able to locate any solid documentation.  Based on various histories and some internet searching, there is a belief that Elias' parents were Jonathan Osborne and NAncy Howell.  If that's the case, then Jonathan's father's name was Ephraim.  Ephraim's parents would've been Jonathan Osborne and Gretta Hollman of England.  That's all speculation though, as I've not found any documentation to link things up.

One of the main reasons I started this site was to hopefully catch a tidbit of information here or there that might eventually link up the puzzle.  I hope more people will become aware of it and start using it.  I've only had it online a few months now, so I appreciate you checking in and sharing anything you might find.
